Mary Beth Klatt is the author of Chicago’s Fashion History: 1865-1945 (Images of America). More recently, she co-developed and wrote “Real-Estate Redux,” for the Wall Street Journal’s Mansions section. Her writing has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, USA Weekend, History Channel Magazine and more. She’s currently writing a novel. A Chicago native, she lives in Wisconsin, where she volunteers at the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum, leading tours and participating in workshops. She also leads a monthly type-in featuring old typewriters.
